Most of the house had carpet in it when James bought it. The only exception was the dinning room where the previous owners put down hard wood flooring. We happen to love hardwood flooring. You know some houses when you rip out the carpet and find beautiful flooring underneath that you can just refinished? We weren’t that lucky…

But we laid this nice flooring ourselves. We bought the cheap hardwood flooring that had a lot of knots in it, to save money.

We had to fill in all the knots and sand it down.

In the end it turned out gorgeous, the floors are my favorite part of the house.
